In January 2005, Scotland Community Credit Union merged with Self-Help Credit Union, making it a division of Self-Help Credit Union. Scotland Community Credit Union was first chartered in 1964, as Scotland Credit Union, to serve the employees of what was then Scotland Mills (an early predecessor of today's WestPoint Home Inc.). Scotland Community Credit Union is located in Laurinburg, North Carolina and primarily serves Scotland County and the surrounding area.
